Topo GPS is available for Apple and Android devices.

iPhone/iPad

To install Topo GPS on an iPhone or iPad, go to the AppStore.

Apple watch

Topo GPS is available for Apple Watch. If you have installed the companion iPhone app from the AppStore, you can install Topo GPS on your Apple watch from the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. You can find more details about Topo GPS on the Apple Watch here.

Macbook / MacOS

Topo GPS is specially optimized for MacOS, and available in the Mac AppStore. There is synchronization of purchases and routes and points between your Mac and your iPhone and iPad.

Android smartphone/tablet

Topo GPS runs on all Android devices that have a recent enough version of Android. You can install Topo GPS for free from the Google Play Store.

You need to have Google Play installed on your Android device. Without Google Play it is not possible to install Topo GPS. We do not support distribution of Topo GPS outside the Google Play store on Android.

Chromebook

A chromebook is a laptop that runs ChromeOS. Topo GPS can be installed on such system from Google Play.

Windows PC

Topo GPS does not run on a Windows PC. It is however possible to install an Android emulator that has Google Play installed. You can run Google Play in such an emulator, and install Topo GPS in the emulator. This is of course not ideal, but maybe sufficient.

An example of such an Android emulator is Bluestacks.

Another possibility is to create a virtual device with Google Play using Android Studio.

Android wear / Android watch

Currently, Topo GPS is not available for Android watches.

Garmin device

You cannot run Topo GPS on a Garmin device. However, it is possible to create routes in Topo GPS and export them as gpx to Garmin Connect. Then you can use the route on your Garmin device. Make sure that in the export pop-up you tap “Settings” and there enable “Join track segments”.

Apple Carplay

Topo GPS is not available for Apple Carplay. Topo GPS is not optimized for Car Navigation.

Android auto

Topo GPS is not available for Android Auto. Topo GPS is not optimized for Car Navigation.
